As Sound Affects has grown, so too has its awareness of the different ways in which senior care residents lack access to the music that serves to enrich daily life. A few simple items can go a long way for residents who do not currently have the tools necessary to enjoy music in their personal space.
Once per year, Sound Affects selects underserved facilities to gift Music Supplies to. Residents and facilities work together with Sound Affects to identify supplies the residents need and are allocated a budget to purchase those supplies using Sound Affects’ nonprofit grants and donations
Common supply requests include:
- Headphones
- Radios
- Harmonicas
- Percussion Instruments
- CDs/CD Players
